m preparing for upsc with chemistry as an optional....as u have mentioned DIAS, delhi notes in ur blog, can u tell me whether coaching notes of the institute is worth for preparation or should i take correspondence from brilliant tutorials...whats ur opinion as i am preparing on my own without any coaching...
shud i need to take notes from both or just one will suffice?
in ur opinion,which is better?
r these coaching notes available in market or do i need to join their correspondence?

hello sir, m preparing for civil service with chemistry and geography as optionals. but organic part is like curs for me. can you advise me how to prepare. and thanks for your blog has helped a lot.
@ Hiran Chetry .....I have a suggestion for you that if u feel much difficulties in Organic Chemistry then u may think of another optional....please do not take a science optional just for the sake of taking....because it takes lot of energy to prepare an optional....or if u are really keen on improving ur level...then u may have to consult more and more no of books....practice, practice and practice....and if u feel that organic chemistry can be prepared from one- two books then sorry i can not help you....because organic chemistry in UPSC is very unpredictable....

Abhijit Agrawal I have started my preparation of civil services first i studied only some static portion of GS. I have no guidance about preparing chemistry for IAS especially organic chemistry it is difficult for me to read the huge list of books from cover to cover.Please suggest me some basic which to be read cover to cover for clearing all the concepts in organic chemistry.I have to use the huge list of books provided by you but only for practising standard level questions and for reference purpose only.I have four years for appearing for my first attempt now more weightage is given to GS but still one optional is present so please guide me towards this to finish syllabus of chemisty.I am not confused with physical and inorganic part but organic is unpredictable.Please guide me.
